Beauty creator. Every product on this site was worn, timed, photographed and documented on my own skin.

The testing table

What I test

  1. Complexion performance

Foundations, skin tints and concealers assessed on wear time, transfer, colour shift and finish.

  2. Heat and humidity wear testing

Long-wear behaviour in high-temperature, high-humidity conditions rather than air-conditioned studio conditions.

  3. Shade accuracy

Shade-range evaluation with particular attention to medium-to-deep warm and olive undertones.

  4. Barrier-focused skincare

Routine-level assessment of moisturisers and serums over multi-week periods.

  5. Product comparison

Side-by-side testing of competing formulas under identical conditions.

Zina tests it Eight hours in 38 degree heat, tested four times

The most recent record

  1. The product

    Paid partnership

Maison Eclat Voile Lumiere Skin Tint
  2. Zina tests it

Four full-day wear tests across three weeks, in mixed outdoor and air-conditioned conditions, in shade 22W Amber Warm. Two tests with no primer and two with a gripping primer, to check whether preparation changed the outcome.

    Temperature
    34 to 38 degrees Celsius
    Humidity
    58 to 71 percent
    Environment
    Mixed outdoor and air-conditioned indoor
  3. The real experience

    Hour 0 · Application

Very thin consistency. Two pumps covered the full face with product left over. The satin finish sets within about 90 seconds, which leaves a narrow blending window.

  4. The result

    Strengths
Colour stayed stable across all four tests in high heat
    Limitations
Breaks down between hours six and eight in heat and humidity
  5. Her verdict

A beautiful six-hour product being sold as a twelve-hour one. If your day is air-conditioned and you want skin that looks like skin, it is excellent. If you are outdoors past lunch, it is not the base for that day.

Would repurchaseYes, for short days only

This is structured personal testing, not clinical testing. One person, one face, no control group, no laboratory. It can tell you how a product behaved on my skin under conditions I have written down. It cannot tell you what a product will do to your skin, and nothing on this site is medical, dermatological or scientific advice.

In her words

A review is only worth reading if you can tell what was measured, what was observed, and what was opinion.
